isi – creating order in the visitor flow
The visitor management system, isi, was first developed in 2007, based on an innovative ticketing and cash register system, commissioned by the Verein der Freunde der Nationalgalerie. isi was created by Museum & Service GmbH in conjunction with its technical partner, MIXX GmbH, especially for the exhibition „Die schönsten Franzosen kommen aus New York". In a mere few months some 700,000 visitors had a chance to see the New York masterpieces in the Neue Nationalgalerie – without having to spend ages in the queue beforehand!
Years of experience with a wide range of exhibition projects, such as „MoMA in Berlin" 2004 which attracted 1.2 million visitors, provided the impetus to design the system. Its creators’ aim was to raise the standard of visitor service while at the same time allowing the gallery to be filled to capacity.
Today, isi offers a modern visitor service from online tickets to mobile phone tickets, flexible control of visitor capacities and the fast assignment of individual tours. In summer 2010 we are introducing two new modules for continuously improving a better visitor service. Please contact us for more detailed information.
